For NIFT fashion technology/fashion design aspirants
1. B.FTECH (Bachelor of Fashion Technology) – best course for 12th PCM students
• No sketching/coloring questions in entrance test
• Questions on fashion GK, case studies, english, reasoning & maths (no questions on sketching/coloring, etc.)
• Only 12th PCM students are eligible
• Marks in 12th exam do not matter, you just need to pass the exam
• Only 1 exam in January every year
• Most of the college club presidents/vice-presidents in NIFT are from Bftech
• Workload is lesser as compared to bachelor of design students
• Salary/job placements usually higher than fashion design students
• Careers in top foreign/Indian fashion brands, fashion houses, export houses, top buying houses, etc.
• Number of aspirants less due to lack of awareness about this excellent course
• Iske entrance test me sketching/coloring nahi aati hai
• 12th ke exam ke marks se koi matlab nahi hai. Bus pass hona chahiye 12th ke exam me

2. B.DES (Bachelor of Design)
• anyone can appear for this entrance test, irrespective of subjects in 12th
• 3 exams – 2 in January & last in May
• unlike fine arts, It tests your creativity more than your skills in sketching/coloring
• Questions also on fashion GK, case studies, english, reasoning & maths
• 6 courses – fashion communication, fashion design, , fashion & lifestyle accessories, textile design, leather design & knitwear design
• Large number of aspirants all over the country
• Careers in top foreign/Indian fashion brands, fashion houses, export houses, top buying houses, etc.
• Isme koi bhi student baith sakta hai, chaahe koi bhi subject ho 12th me
• 3 exams – 2 in January & last in May
• Isme fine arts ki tarah nahi hota hai – apki creativity apki sketching/coloring se zyada
important hoti hai
