📢 Important Update: GOTS CUS-GOTS Version 4.0 Becomes Mandatory on 1 August 2026

If you use the GOTS Certification Mark, now is the time to prepare.

Beginning 1 August 2026, Conditions for the Use of Signs – GOTS (CUS-GOTS) Version 4.0 becomes mandatory, replacing Version 3.1. While your currently approved logos, labels, and artwork remain valid, the updated standard introduces a clearer structure, new user-specific requirements, updated labeling release forms, and additional guidance to help ensure consistent and compliant use of GOTS Signs.

Key reminders:
✅ Use the latest Labelling Release Forms (Version 2.0) for new artwork submissions.
✅ Review the new requirements based on your user category (Certified Entities, Retailers, Registered Traders, or Approved Suppliers).
✅ Ensure off-product marketing materials and on-product labels comply with the updated rules.
✅ Check the updated font guidance and legal compliance requirements before creating new artwork.

As a GOTS Approved Certification Body accredited for Scopes 1, 2, 3, and 4, IDFL is ready to help you navigate these updates and ensure your labels and marketing materials remain compliant.

The ZDHC Gateway is getting a major upgrade, delivering a more intuitive user experience, improved navigation, and enhanced collaboration tools to better support the industry.

🗓️ Key Dates to Remember
🔹 7 August 2026 – Current Gateway closes
🔹 7–16 August 2026 – Full system downtime (all Gateway functions unavailable)
🔹 17 August 2026 – New ZDHC Gateway goes live

If you use the ZDHC Gateway, be sure to download any reports and data before 7 August, as no information can be accessed or uploaded during the downtime. Rest assured, your existing data will be securely migrated to the new platform.
🎓 To help users prepare, ZDHC is offering training sessions for suppliers, chemical formulators, brands, and vendors ahead of the transition.

📢 | Standard Update

**GB/T 17685-2026 "Down and Feather" Officially Released**

China's revised national standard, **GB/T 17685-2026 "Down and Feather,"** will take effect on **September 1, 2026**, introducing important updates to product classification, quality requirements, and labeling transparency.

🔍 Key Updates:
✔ Clear distinction between virgin and recycled down
✔ New chemical risk management requirements (AP/APnEO limits)
✔ Addition of dust content testing
✔ Stronger processing requirements for recycled down
✔ Enhanced labeling transparency, including material type and down content
✔ More flexible quality management through graded inspections

A key requirement is that **raw washed down and recovered down cannot be used directly as filling materials.** They must undergo complete fine-washing treatment and must not be mixed with virgin down.

Overall, GB/T 17685-2026 marks an important step toward greater standardization, transparency, and sustainability in the down industry. Companies that prepare early will be better positioned to meet evolving market and regulatory expectations.
