As well as running Blossom Boutique, Parvathi (Lydia) also teaches a tailoring class for women from the local community. The first batch of 9 students recently took their final exams and everyone did well - some ladies even learned how to write in english for the first time for the exam papers. The Usha company gave six people Grade A certificates and now two of the women are starting work at Blossom Boutique while the others are doing tailoring work at home with the machines awarded by East Parade Malayalam Church, who run the course.

At Blossom Boutique we've been very busy completing an order of school uniforms. With a total of 900 pieces it's our biggest order to date and everyone has been working day and night to finish on time. We're very happy with how all the pieces are looking and how all the staff worked as a team!
