Breaking down the mood behind Aishwarya Rai’s Cannes look through colors, textures, silhouettes, and storytelling ✨🌊

From electric sapphire tones to sculptural wave-inspired couture, this mood board was all about understanding how a single garment can communicate power, drama, femininity, and fantasy together.

Built entirely using Pinterest references + Canva layering, shadows, textures, and typography to create a luxury editorial aesthetic.

Your moodboard keeps getting rejected?
It’s not your creativity. 👇

Most fashion students make one mistake
they create Pinterest collages and call them moodboards.

Pinterest collage = random images that look nice.
Fashion moodboard = structured storytelling.

These are two completely different things.

A strong moodboard needs:
✦ Central inspiration image
✦ Concept notes (2-3 lines)
✦ Color palette (actual swatches)
✦ Silhouette references
✦ Figure direction

Miss any one of these and it feels incomplete
which is exactly why professors and clients reject it.

No pressure to have everything figured out.

Just leaving behind what no longer feels aligned
and taking forward what brings a little more peace.
