“Experiencing the with the BMW Excellence Club has been a beautiful intersection of cinema, design, and culture. One of the things I carried back from Cannes was a renewed appreciation for precision and craftsmanship.

Dressing in one of our creations for the festival made it even more meaningful, a reflection on how the future belongs to those who continue to evolve and reimagine what craft can become.”

When Aishwarya () walked the Cannes red carpet in our creation, the feeling quietly found its way back home to the atelier, to every hand that helped bring it to life.

What followed was emotion, excitement, and the kind of joy that quietly fills a room. A global moment became deeply personal for the people behind it, carrying with it the pride of being recognised and the realisation that they are worth it too.

Aishwarya () has always been a force, an enigma, someone who walks into a room and changes the air within it.

And when Mohit () and I began working on her Cannes () look, that energy became the starting point for everything.

With Luminara, we wanted to explore radiance in motion, powerful, and constantly transforming with light. We used our signature materials, layering thousands of crystalline embellishments by hand to create movement and reflection across the body. In a luminous abyss blue, the piece was imagined almost like cosmic light suspended in motion, a reflection of exactly who she is.

Dressing her was always a dream, and today, it’s come true.”

𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗞𝗔 𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗥𝗔 𝗝𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗠 𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗧 𝗔𝗚𝗚𝗔𝗥𝗪𝗔𝗟

“For the Gold House Gala in New York City, as received the Global Vanguard Honour, I wanted to reimagine the beauty of Chikankari craft through a more contemporary, global lens.

The traditional Chikankari from Uttar Pradesh, where Priyanka hails from, has existed for centuries. Lucknow was always a Mughal city, and that history still lives within the craft.

The age-old Mughal jaal and the beauty of parametric architecture are connected through biomimicry. What I wanted to create for her became a passage of light.

For this piece, we revived a two-decade-old Chikankari sari, embroidered entirely by women on an incredibly delicate chiffon, using a single silk thread. It is one of the most delicate forms of lace-making in India.

At Amit Aggarwal, I looked at Chikankari as a starting point. I took that softness and openness and rebuilt it in my own language through rubber cord, recycled glass, and hand-formed beads, all signature materials of the brand.

To collaborate with Ami is always deeply exciting. Whenever we work together, the conversation is always about how we look at craft, how we evolve it, and how it can tell a larger story.

In every meeting with Priyanka, I have felt she is someone who truly shines with her own light. This piece is an ode to who she is, to the future she has carved for herself, and to everyone who will walk that path after her.”

“The first time I came across a neon-laced bloom of jellyfish was in the Bay Area of California in 2007. I remember being absolutely mesmerised by how the jellyfish could morph through innumerable forms, while remaining fluid, weightless and alive.

Since then, the jellyfish has remained an eternal source of inspiration within our design language. Its anatomy, movement and translucence continue to shape sculpted forms and kinetic textures, translating the intelligence of living systems into couture.”

At Amit Aggarwal, science is the origin of form.

The body exists as living architecture shaped through memory and movement. Mammary glands expand in radial formations. Neural pathways branch through unseen connections. Cerebral folds, vascular networks and fascia structures continuously shift and adapt within human anatomy.

Couture is not separate from the body. It emerges from the same systems that shape us. Form evolves, but the blueprint has always existed.

“Each year, on our founding day, I return to the journey. To everything that has been built, over time, with intent.

What we create may appear singular, but it is never the work of one. Behind every surface and every fold, there are hands. Many hands. Each bringing their own rhythm, instinct, and craftsmanship.

What began as a process has grown into a community. A space where craft is carried forward, where skills deepen and karigars shape not just garments, but their own paths.

Not all forms begin as matter.
Some begin as force, unseen and in motion, shaping trajectories before they settle.

𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗽, an interactive installation designed for the ANTEVORTA Couture 2024 showcase, hand engineered by , traces that shift. A translation of forces we cannot see into something we can walk through.

Lines behave like orbital paths, drawn inward and held in tension until movement gathers into structure. Responsive to the body, the installation remains in flux, where science is not illustrated, but embodied.
