Cotton 0.0 began as a way to look at cotton- through soil, seed, food, fibre and farming.

At Weave The Future 5.0, this idea continues through Fibres of Land, an installation that expands the conversation from cotton to India’s wider landscape of indigenous fibres.

It traces how fibres are shaped by region, climate, cultivation, community knowledge and handmade practice.

It also brings attention to biodiversity, showing how different lands, foods and fibres are part of the same living material ecosystem.

Experience Fibres of Land at Weave The Future 5.0.

A glimpse into the hands-on workshops at Weave The Future 5.0.

Participants explored how materials can be shaped, woven, cared for and understood differently from wet felting with Desi wool and weaving with water hyacinth to making bioenzyme laundry wash from citrus waste.
