“Photographer gone to school “

The last few days I have had no content to post on social media as my only photographer has started going to school offline and has made our schedule of filming impossible to hold!Nevertheless I just got her to do one recently even though she wasn’t feeling too well! This school thing being fairly new might take sometime for the kids to adjust to!!

For now we have thought of a new schedule and I might be able to put up more content fairly regularly!

Kids have missed going to school for the past 2 years and they cannot hold their excitement now! This pandemic situation has shown us what kids get from schools and it is so much more than just studies! My little one cannot stop chatting about her friends and teachers and the school in general! Happiness is going to school! I really wonder what it must be for those who cannot attend one!

Home maker vs Bread Earner
There was a time when a clear distinction was made between the two out of necessity!
The reason nowadays the distinction is fading is due to economical needs and our aspirations. And also the need for social bonding (especially for the previously conformed homemakers)

Everything that we follow as culture even now has roots in the history, which is generally borne out of the need of that time!

Earlier for the homemakers there was a lack of social connection due to the nature of their work. In earlier times, typically women were the ones who were homemakers and so there were a lot of cultural/religious activities that women used to follow. I feel that their purpose was more of social bonding which was otherwise lacking on a daily basis.
Having said that, I feel that the amount of work that homemakers had to do then was much more than what it is now. Also the times were turbulent and challenging. During such times the bonding that was shared during these festive times was more than required.
Nowadays we do not have troubled times or too much work load at home (especially for middle class and above) but still the festivities are celebrated with full excitement. The reasons may keep changing, but the need for bonding is ever prevalent and important for the mental health of one and all!
Bread earners on the other hand did get social bonding in the form of their colleagues and therefore their involvement in such activities was limited which continue to this date even though the conditions have changed!

“My neighbors dog and me”

Most of the pet owners swear by their pets loving nature! However there are some babies who are unfit for a small home. German Shepherds are one of those! My neighbors have one and it is the scariest dog I have seen so far. To make matters worse, it has bitten my maid once causing her to limp for a month and pain even after 6 months of the incident. I am not against keeping pets, but if the dog is ferocious, it is advisable not to keep one in small spaces!
I am a very scared person whenever I am leaving or entering our home coz the dog is very aggressive!
To anyone who is a pet owner, please be mindful of the people who are not dog lovers and appreciate their sensitivity towards your baby!

Balding confidence

I started seeing traces of balding very early in my life! Even as a child I was having thin hair, but not so much!
So when I saw the hair thinning pattern, I was concerned but also knew somewhere in my heart that this was bound to happen! Wo kya hai na, I am a lot like my father by looks and behaviour too! I have been told that a number of times and I realised it a while later.. So too but the long surprise short, my dermatologist confirmed that it is hereditary and it cannot be totally prevented.. however the decline in hair can be slowed by medication. Ab problem ye hai, ki I am a die hard fan of irregularity and so taking all these medicines without fail was a bigger task. Instead I decided to embrace my hair condition and enjoy it while it lasts! Now I am confident about which side to pose from so that too much baldness is not visible in pictures.. after all everyone wants to look good in pictures. Hai na?!

Simple truth!

Excited by the prospect of being in a new city, she packed and got ready!
When she reached the place however it was raining and the air was humid and traffic stuck!
Bhaiya, A/c to chalao!
A/c kaam nahi kar raha hai, he said.
Sweating profusely in the cab of which windows couldn’t be opened as it was raining outside, she thought of her spirits getting dampened!

However, the God’s did not want her to feel so and suddenly the rains stopped and she could open the window to let a cool breeze in!

Oh thank God! Haven’t we felt like this multiple times in our life?! How many times have we consciously realised that things did work in our factor even if they did not start that way?

Being grateful for what we have is the best feeling. Try it today, even if it is the smallest thing! It changes you for good!

Instagram vs Reality

Many reels and posts have spoken about the reality being different from the posts that are seen on

Here’s my take on the issue..
I feel that modifying your picture to look better than the actual sight is fraud and should be avoided. However at times, due to some reasons the picture clicked comes out different than what it looks in reality and during that time if it is modified to look as close to the actual scene/person, I feel it’s justifiable!

Saree in picture is a beautiful lemon yellow paithani in cotton!

During this shoot, we had outside temperature as 45°C and so while running our Airconditioner on full blast in all the rooms, changing and shooting was done ASAP! I must tell you that it was the most challenging thing I have done this summer!

But now that it’s done, I am thankful to my patient photographer for clicking amazing pictures!

A relative I have never met or spoken to, but known through my mil as she is her distant cousin. I was first introduced to Madhavi mavshi(we are far fetched relatives) via saree speak and the rest is history.

This photo was sent to me by my mother-in-law about 6 months ago and I had forgotten about it till today when I was cleaning my phone. I decided to post it as the saree that she is wearing is from my weaver in Odisha and I feel proud to see her wearing it!
She is a symbol of grace and beauty and every saree looks amazing on her! I can't thank you enough for draping this beauty!
