The purists raised a brow but the innovative wing opened its arms in embrace when Rishab Goenka staged his collection of Ethnic romancing contemporary chic. The graduate from National Institute from Fashion Technology has already earned for himself the label of a "Noble Dissident" owing to his relentless fervour to reinvent traditional Indian craft. When the Rishab Goenka Design Studio came up in

November 2012, it was a labour of love. Carving a niche for himself, four months post his graduation in an industry imbued with stalwarts was no child's play.His resolve was unyielding- to give an impetus to Indian craftsmanship through his exquisite ensembles. Rishab Goenka' creativity traverses from the realms of timeless couture to pret, styling and diffusion. While bridal couture remains his first love, he has a flourishing clientele in stores across Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati and Pune. In the past, he has always been associated with rooted ethnicity and diversified Indian heritage. One such association was with the Kantha Embroiders of Shantiniketan to shape a dream of intricately embroidered Kantha footwear. Subsequently, he opened new arenas of product diversification through local craft. So, when you see an archetypal zardozi tied in bonds of holy matrimony with a shift dress- acknowledge it as an endeavour to craft modern threads with needle of time-honoured tradition.
