About Us :
Chakor was founded in 2016 and believes and celebrates the deep rooted Indian traditions and myths through our rich and gorgeous textiles, that has a history and detailed story about themselves. Our endeavour is to offer insights into various Indian textile craft traditions and highlight what distinguishes them and makes them precious. What makes Chakor unique :
Our unique products are

made from traditional handloom techniques, skills and hand-based processes protecting the natural environment. We do not blend indigenous craft techniques with contemporary designs instead we improvise and patronize the age-old traditional designs making them aesthetically modern for today’s consumers. Working closely with weavers and artisans by providing various design inputs and creating products that are purely natural, craft based and affordable, that delight them by interpreting our rich heritage and traditional knowledge. With an experience of nearly two decades working closely with weavers and artisans in Kutch, Rajkot, Chanderi, Chhatisgarh, in an effort to bring their stories alive in their weaves and crafts, restoring traditional designs and hand-based techniques. Our objective is to build a bridge between the craft based rural producers - weavers and artisans, and modern and urban market, thereby creating a base for skilled, sustainable rural employment, and preserving India's textile craft traditions in the process. To achieve that we have been showcasing our products via travel shows across different cities and provide first hand experience to our members enabling them to touch & feel the beauty that lies in the intricacy of the Craftsmanship. Geometry or Gradient?
Our latest exploration in Blue brings two distinct stories to the surface. On one hand, the rhythmic, sharp Indigo Zig-Zag—a pattern that demands absolute precision in every single knot. On the other, the Blue-to-Green Ombre, where the color flows as seamlessly as the Gaji Silk itself.

A note on the “Detection”: If you see a AI info label on this post, it’s just the algorithm trying to process the sheer density of our Rai Bandhej. We did a deep scan of the final slide - in that one small frame, there are 412 individual dots and 26 hand-tied lines forming the motifs.

While the tech is still learning to read these patterns, our artisans have mastered this rhythm over a few decades. (Go ahead and count them—we know we did!)

Which logic speaks to you? The bold, structured energy of the Zig-Zag, or the quiet, shifting landscape of the Ombre?

Tell us in the comments. 👇

The Details:
Fabric: 100% Pure Gaji Silk.
Craft: Hand-tied Rai Bandhej and Ombre hand-dyeing.
Detailing: Finished with delicate bead edging.

If the workshop is the soul, these colors are the celebration.

There is a specific weight to Pure Gaji Silk that feels like a drape of liquid gold. This piece is our tribute to the Gharchola tradition - where the rhythm of Zari checks meets the precision of Rai Bandhej (the finest form of tying knots).

Hand-dyed in small batches to protect the vibrancy of the pinks and the deep, regal purple, it’s a balance of heritage complexity and a modern, sophisticated fall. We’ve finished this piece with delicate bead edging, a subtle detail that honors the hours of handwork invested in every inch of the fabric.

A wearable masterpiece, from our courtyard to your wardrobe.

The Details:
Fabric: Pure Gaji Silk with Zari checks.
Craft: Traditional Gharchola Rai Bandhej.
Finish: Delicate bead-work edges.

The transition from our courtyard to connoisseur.

What began under the Madhumati shade—the years of watching, the patience of the tie, and the precision of the dye—culminates here.

This isn’t just a dupatta; it is Traditional Bandhani Chandrokhani in its most elevated form. Crafted on pure Mulberry Silk, the texture is a silent testament to the human hand. Unlike factory prints, each knot here narrates a story of a Kutch household, and each ripple in the silk carries the legacy of three generations.
Designed for the woman who values the soul of the craft as much as the drape of the fabric.

The Details:
Fabric: 100% Pure Mulberry Silk.
Craft: Hand-tied and Hand-dyed Traditional Bandhani - Rai Bandhej
Origin: Handcrafted in Kutch, Gujarat.

This is not a process picked up in weeks.
It is learned over years.

Watched at home. Practised every day. Corrected by elders.

This is the foundation of every Bandhani piece we work with.
The slow tying. The precision of each knot. The patience before colour even enters the cloth.

This is the work we choose to stand by.
This is how Traditional Bandhani survives
In people & tie-dye done with human hands, not factories that screen print.

These are not manufactured in factories.
Not produced inside industrial sheds.

Our Bandhani begin in courtyards.
Under Madhumati shade.
In homes where the craft has travelled from father to son,
hand to hand,
generation to generation.

This is what handmade truly means.
It's not just about the techniques... it's also about place, people, and living traditions that has been practised from years......
