I don’t gave these fabrics ….Just day before I was talking to a weaver about Plagiarism, where he said they are so hesitant to share the fabrics on public platform because they are easily copied. Sorry for the bad quality of video. I was sitting with these two different fabric checks. Both from different weavers. And was so surprised to see same colour combination except the checks were different 🙈🙈 one creative person floats the idea , second person chooses the colours based on the idea , a weaver weaves it. If it is superb , it is copied by lot more. What do you say to that 🫢🫢🤔🤔🤔

A higher yarn count means the individual strands are finer, lighter, and thinner. Where as lower yarn means the yarn is thicker and fewer count in one square inch of fabric. Like 20’s sheeting is a canvas as the yarn used is so thick.
Sharing blue , green and brown checks with a count of 75 , sorry I mentioned 62/68. That’s why it’s soft . Ikat is 550 a meter and checks are 450 a meter.

What is the biggest quality of Kala Cotton ? It’s sustainability, the only crop that requires zero synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or intensive irrigation. It’s completely rain fed. I had shared this fabric before but someone asked if they could drape it as a saree. So I did with a totally ill fitting Mushru blouse that was bought from an Ahemdabad based lady , named Bijouri. But draped as a saree it looked fabulous. Price is 750 a meter and whoever wants the contact for the blouse lady. I can give.
Am also sharing a multi coloured Bengal cotton picture which Raghu has just sent asking if I like it. The fabric is not with me. Will come next week. So if you want , do WhatsApp or message. Will order. It’s 550 a meter.

PRICE is given. How does one weave a colour block fabric , meaning layers of different colours in one fabric. The weaver changes the horizontal weft yarn to a new color when you reach your desired length of one colour. The yarn is laid down with distinct blocks of solid colors side-by-side or stacked vertically and the weft is of same colour. So the actual colour shade that comes after it is woven is totally on how the weft compliments the colour. Price 500 a meter and checks are 450 a meter. Thanks Ranjani for this combination.

Price is always written. Today ChatGPT wasted a lot of time. Just couldn’t get what I was trying to explain. Anyway Chanderi day . Bandhej on Chanderi in mauve with Pilkhuwa printed cotton for pants and a Jaamdani duppatta.
Other is sky blue with silver machine embroidery all over except if you want side panels they will be plain and a printed Habutai silk finishing.
Price . Bandhej kurta 2850 for 3 meter with separate sleeves and 450 a meter block printed fabric & 1500 duppatta.
Sky blue is full suit is 4650 with a meter of Habutai silk for finishing , the colour is more like in last two pics.
