In an American restaurant, a waitress handed a man and his wife the lunch menu. Before even glancing at it, they asked for the two cheapest dishes because, well, their wallets were on a serious diet. They hadn't received a paycheck in months, so they were navigating through a financial storm.

Waitress Sarah didn’t need to think twice. She suggested two dishes, and without a second thought, they agreed, probably imagining a meal as basic as a PB&J sandwich. She brought out their order, which they devoured faster than you could say "budget-friendly." Before leaving, they sheepishly asked for the bill. Sarah returned with a slip of paper that read, “Given your situation, I’ve paid your bill from my own pocket. Here’s a $100 gift from me, the least I can do. Thanks for dining with us.”

Sarah was surprisingly over the moon about covering their lunch bill, despite her own financial pickle. She had been saving up for almost a year to buy an automatic washing machine because doing laundry by hand was giving her biceps that even bodybuilders would envy.

When Sarah’s friend heard about this, she gave Sarah a piece of her mind. "You’ve been saving for a washing machine, and now you're spending on strangers? Your clothes need clean laundry more than they do!"

Then, in came a call from her mom, who yelled, "Sarah, what have you done?" With a voice that could have made a mouse seem confident, Sarah replied, "I did nothing... What happened?"

Her mom responded, "Social media is throwing you a parade! That couple you helped posted your note on Facebook, and it's gone viral. I’m so proud of you!"

Barely finishing her chat with mom, an old school friend called, informing her that her kind act was breaking the internet faster than a cat video.

When Sarah checked her Facebook, she was bombarded with messages from TV producers and reporters, all eager to talk about her generous deed.

The next day, she was invited to one of America’s most-watched TV shows. The host handed her a top-of-the-line washing machine, a shiny new TV, and $10,000 in cash. Oh, and let's not forget the $5,000 shopping voucher from an electronics company. By the time the dust settled, she had raked in over $100,000, all because of two dishes that cost less than a cheap haircut.

Moral of the story? Generosity isn't giving away what you don’t need. It’s giving what you do need, but you know someone else needs it more. Real poverty isn’t in the wallet; it’s in the lack of humanity and perspective.

Building yourself up to be someone who is Self Confident can seem to be a daunting task. Especially, when you feel so stuck and low in life. Nothing seems to working out the way you want and you start questioning your mere existence.

When I was in that zone, there were few things I started telling myself constantly. Initially, I didn't believe them and they sounded ridiculous, but over time I recognized these were my reality.

Once, I moved to a zone of neutrality I started a very systematic approach in building myself up.

Check out the complete carousel to understand what the steps were... You can spend time on each slide and see how it relates to you !

And if you want to know, what were the things I was saying to myself at the start of my Building Myself journey, DM me !!

Diwali .. The Festival of Lights. Like Every year, this year too we offered our prayers to the Supreme Power.
Thanking for each blessing and abundance that we've been bestowed with.
But there was something different this year, as the Aarti started, the smell of Roses filled the air. A sudden sense of calmness, a sense of bliss and Oneness took over me .

At that moment, everything was just One.

I just feel blessed to experience these small moments of Kindness from Universe!

Finally! This huge piece comprising of 12 pieces of Mandana Art is completed for my Living Room.
The Center piece is 24 inches x 24 inches and the surrounding pieces are 15cm x 15cm each. This took me sometime to complete, but is worth each minute I worked for it.

Mandala is one of the most meditative forms of art which is even practiced by the Buddhist Monks.

Anyone who engages in this form of Art, knows what it is to be just Present in the moment, knows the Peace it brings with it, knows the sense of Achievement and hence Confidence it brings with it once they've completed a piece.

This is a tool that each human being should practice!

Lemme know in comments how you liked the Complete Piece !

Heritage Walk : Part 1

The Heritage walks in Delhi are something that everyone should do during winters.. Today went for a Heritage walk called as "Phoolwalon Ki Sair" in Mehrauli.

These pictures are of the Zafar Mahal, which was a Monsoon Abode for the Mughal Kings & Queens.

The Mahal once Splendid is an almost Eerie Ruin now.

Ruins stand as silent witnesses to the passage of time, and within their weathered stones and crumbling walls, they hold the echoes of stories long past.

Each fracture and moss-covered surface tells a tale of human endeavor, triumph, and sometimes, tragedy.

The stories told by ruins resonate with our own existence, serving as a reminder of the impermanence of all things. We can draw inspiration from these remnants of the past, learning from the mistakes and achievements of those who came before us.

Ruins teach us the value of resilience, the importance of adaptation, and the enduring human spirit. They encourage us to cherish the present, for our actions today will be the ruins of tomorrow, and the stories we leave behind should be ones of progress, empathy, and wisdom.

Enjoy these pics !
