Incorporated in1978, AEPC is the official body of apparel exporters in India that provides invaluable assistance to
Indian exporters as well as importers/international buyers who choose India as their preferred sourcing destination
for garments. From one office in 1978, it has over 40 offices in just a span of 30 years. From just being a quota monitoring entity, AEPC is today a powerful body for t

he promotion and facilitation of
garment manufacturing and their exports. For Indian exporters, AEPC is quite literally a one-stop shop for information1 advise1 technical guidance1 workforce
and market intelligence. Members have access to updated trade statistics1 potential markets1 information on
international fairs and assistance in participating at these fairs. It also plays a large role in identifying new markets
and leading trade delegations to various countries. In recent years AEPC has worked tirelessly in integrating the entire industry - starting at the grass root level of
training the workforce and supplying a steady stream of man power to the industry; identifying the best countries
to source machinery and other infrastructure and brokering several path breaking deals for its members and finally
helping exporters to showcase their best at home fairs as well as be highly visible at international fairs the world
over

Twice a year, AEPC showcases the best of India’s garment export capabilities through the prestigious India
International Garment Fair, playing host to over 350 exhibitors displaying the exotic, the haute, the prêt, the
contemporary and much much more With AEPC's expertise and all the advantages that India has, it makes for a
truly win-win situation – Indian exporters grow stronger each year in their achievements, skills and proficiency, while

Unlocking Growth Through FTAs.

AEPC organised a seminar in Tiruppur on “Unlocking Growth Opportunities: FTA Utilization for Apparel Exporters”, bringing together exporters, industry leaders, government officials and trade experts.

Chairman Dr. A. Sakthivel highlighted the growing opportunities through India’s FTAs, while Secretary General Shri Mithileshwar Thakur stressed the importance of effectively utilising preferential tariffs, Rules of Origin and compliance.

Shri D. Sridhar, ITS, Additional DGFT, Coimbatore, urged exporters to prepare for emerging opportunities, particularly under the India-UK CETA and India-EU framework.

Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mangla, Associate Professor, Economics and International Trade, SIMS, shared practical insights on Rules of Origin, CTH, QVC, sourcing and documentation for effective FTA utilisation.

The seminar reinforced AEPC’s commitment to helping Tiruppur exporters convert FTAs into new markets, larger orders and sustained export growth.

On this proud occasion, AEPC Chairman Dr. A. Sakthivel extends his warm greetings to all Indians.

Yesterday, Dr. Sakthivel, Chairman, AEPC met Shri Vinay Kwatra, Ambassador of India to the United States, in Washington, D.C. The meeting included a fruitful and positive discussion on strengthening India’s apparel exports to the US market and exploring new opportunities for growth.

Dr. Sakthivel expressed confidence that India’s exports to the United States will continue to grow, further strengthening the India-US trade partnership.
