A saree that brings together the Ghamra buta and the 3-shuttle weave. The motifs flow in a soft gradation starting from the palla and gently fading toward the pleats.

Woven by Nisha Didi, who has perfected this intricate technique at our workshop.

Wildflowers of Chhattisgarh

Somewhere along the roadsides, little wildflowers bloom without anyone planting or tending to them. They are simply called Desi Phool. So are the Babool flower and the Ghaneri. I saw them and couldn’t leave them behind.

These humble blooms became the inspiration for the Manjari collection, a love letter to the wild flowers of this land, the ones growing quietly in roadside bushes.

Guldasta is the newest chapter of that story.

I took one such wildflower and turned it into a motif. Our weavers then did what only handloom hands can do, they brought it into the fabric. Thread by thread. Motif by motif. Woven into a delicate zari grid and scattered across the saree, allowing it to bloom in every direction.
