Hello hello. Wanted to share some news. We’re moving out of our office space at the end of this month. I’m going to be taking a break for a bit from 6YP for a few months as Anagha prepares to go to college and we move it a new phase of life.

I’m doing a flat 40 percent off on the entire stock- sarees and fabrics- and a 70 percent off on sarees with imperfections.

We’re doing this sale on 21 and 22 of February at our store in Srinagar Colony. Would love to see you there! If you come by on Saturday, at about 4 PM, I’m planing a small Antakshari get together with friends and family of 6YP. If you’re unable to come in person, but would like to take a look, happy to do a video call with you.

Thanks so much for the love and support so far- I’m sure the next chapter will be even more fun!

Sankranti is about being together with family and friends and reflecting with gratitude on the abundance that nature (and our hard work) has bestowed upon us.

Thank you for styling our hand-painted Cheriyal Maheshwari saree so elegantly. We’re so happy we could be a part of your Sankranti celebrations.

This is a series called ‘women at leisure’- where we celebrate women enjoying a little me time- the traditional way. This particular image shows them playing dice- possibly pacheesi/ashta chamma.

DM us if you’d like to explore a unique concept like this for festivals or occasions ♥️

Craft on sarees. Telangana handicraft. Cheriyal Sarees. Hand Painted Sarees. Stories on your Sarees.

Sarees carry so many memories. Our stories told through the folds of Amma’s sarees are truly invaluable. Anupama wanted to carry her memories forward- this is her mother’s wedding benarsi- the saree had lost its strength but the border was sturdy. Here’s the transformation of bringing stunning Benarsi borders to a gorgeous handwoven Mangalagiri. A little tough of Banjara hand embroidery and voila- the stories can now be carried not just by Anupama, but her daughter too!

Three generations of love. One saree. Isn’t that precious?

Sustainable consumption, mindful living, recycled saree, upcycled saree, moms saree, saree revival

Are you making those saree resolutions yet? Here’s the sign you’ve been waiting for! Settle into the comfort of a saree- as familiar as a favourite dish, as comfortable as Amma’s hug and as unique as you are!!! ♥️

In a flurry of Black Friday sales, make a sustainable choice.

Don’t buy these because they are discounted. Or because they will not be available again (although they won’t). Don’t buy them from a sense of fomo.

Make them a part of your wardrobe if you believe your choices have an impact on the earth. And that you have a choice- to embrace a timeless garment made from upcycled fabric and use it for decades.

Take that Khoobsurat Mod ♥️

Light as a cloud and crafted with care, our Abhra is a soft, breathable upcycled saree made from Godavari cotton. Hakoba lace and Sanganeri block prints come together in delicate patchwork, creating a design that’s gentle on your skin and kind to the earth.

Sustainability, design, quirk and kitsch brought together in this collection of patchwork sarees made from unused pieces of fabric- each saree as unique as you, and each thread destined to be yours.

It is better to give a beautiful twist to stories that cannot be culminated in their original form.

This is the driving force behind our collection- Khoobsurat Mod.

We have created a gorgeous patchwork of sarees from all those fabrics that could not be brought to you in their original form for some reason or another. Some are sarees that were short in width originally, some are blouse pieces that had defects in them, and some were just bits and bobs that were destined to be a part of this series.

We have put our mind and soul into each of these sarees, and we really really hope that you will enjoy the collection as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
