Mamatha Tulluri- Designer Profile

Mamatha Tulluri started her label "SHREY" in 2005 with hand block
prints. Though a dentist by profession, after graduating from H.K.E.S
Dental College in Gulbarga, Karnataka she found her heart in designing. After starting her own label" Mamatha Tulluri",she started
focusing on conceptualizing and reinventing the art of hand
embroidery and kalamkari. She wor

ks with master kalamkari craftsman and motivates them by using their
work in her designs. She also works extensively with weavers from Andhra
Pradesh like Pochampally, Mangalgiri, Uppada and various other places. Most
of her collections include hand woven and hand crafted fabrics. "Mamatha
Tulluri" also has a group of tribal women who make hand embroidery which is
used extensively in her designs. Mamatha has a tailoring and embroidery unit in her studio with around 50
skilled craftsmen from Lucknow. Her design sensibility is low key yet highly
distinctive, with a strong respect for material, form and craft. The design
label specializes in bridal trousseau. She has a very loyal customer base
in Hyderabad as well as her NRI clients who visit her always. The quality

The store is tastefully stocked up with designer sarees using kanchi,uppada,zari-kota,net,chiffons and cotton sarees with intricate embroidery and beautiful blouses to match them.the store also has wide range of lehangas, dress materials, anarkali suits and kurtis.The store also specializes in making kids lehangas. The USP of the store is exclusive hand embroidered sarees
and lehangas using traditional hand oven fabrics. the colour palate,fit and
impeccable finish that we give to the clothes makes them unique and yet
affordable.
