Designer Archana Rao completed her Bachelors of Design degree from NIFT, where she went on to win “Best Design collection” in her graduation show in 2007. Moving on she went to Parsons School of Design, New York and was selected to showcase her graduation collection at the prestigious "Parsons Line Debut 2009" at Lord and Taylor, New York. In Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette (2006), Versailles is a world of macarons, rococo sheets, teenage ennui and the unabashed pleasure of dressing up. The film made excess feel youthful, irreverent and entirely contemporary, leaving an imprint on the way the French lore has been pictured ever since.

Fragments of this cultural phenomenon found their way into the visual language of Let Them Eat Cake. We took what inspired us: the romance of sheer fabrics, the drama of silk and the sweetness of confectionary colours, to bring it to you the AR way.
