Signature “Meena Danka” saree, titled “Mayurakshi.” Inspired by the timeless beauty of the peacock, the saree features intricate motifs spread gracefully across the entire drape. The pallu showcases a magnificent dancing peacock in full grandeur, while smaller dancing peacocks are delicately woven throughout the saree. The peacock was chosen as the central theme because of its deep significance and prominence in the traditional art and culture of Rajasthan.
This special “Mayurakshi” Meena Danka saree, worn by Dr. Sonal Parihar at Cannes, took nearly 244 hours of meticulous craftsmanship to complete — from the intricate Meena detailing to the final stitch on the majestic peacock motif.
This marks a proud milestone for Neetu Singh as we showcase our signature “Meena Danka” collection on the red carpet of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2026 with Dr. Sonal Parihar.
is a 400-year-old ancient art form that originated in Rajasthan and involves the intricate hand embroidery of metal pieces onto fabric. Indian designer Neetu Singh has given this traditional craft a new identity through innovation and creativity by combining the delicate art of Meena filling with traditional Danka handwork, creating the unique artistry known as “ Danka.” This distinctive technique involves filling vibrant Meena work into motifs crafted on Danka metal, transforming each creation into not just a fashion statement, but a wearable piece of art.
