The Weavers Cochin The Weavers, Cochin Established in 1988, The Weavers was Cochin’s first designer store. The fabrics were then expertly designed into elegant Indian wear.

It’s proprietors, Bina Mathew and Thankam Mammen, travelled across the country to cities and small towns, sourcing traditional Indian fabrics that were unavailable in Kerala. Today, besides the beautifully tailored kurta sets, which can also be custom-made from the available fabrics, The Weavers boasts an exquisite range of sarees (Kanchipuram, Benaras, Kota, Chanderi, Maheshwari, Tussar, Bailou,

Jamdani, Paithani, Upada, Benaras Kora, Khadi, Gadwal, Handloom, Chiffons, Georgettes and other contemporary sarees) that have been individually selected from weavers across the country. The Weavers Sale, held twice or thrice each year, is a much-anticipated event with people flocking in from all over Kerala.
