কুসুম কাঁথার সকল নতুন সদস্যদের জানাই অনেক অনেক ভালো বাসা।
আমি ঝর্ণা। হোম মেকার। কিন্তু সেলাইয়ের নেশা বহুদিনের। আমাদের বাড়িতে বা পাড়ায় নতুন কোনো সোনামণি এলেই আমার ডাক পড়ে কাঁথা বানিয়ে দেবার জন্য। ছোট্ট নরম তুলতুলে গা, তাদের জন্য চাই মলমলি কুসুমের মতো নরম কাঁথা। নরম সুতোয় বোনা, আদর মাখানো কাপড় না হলে, ঘুম কি আর ভালো হয়?

Kantha is a traditional blanket made out of old fabric, preferably soft cotton sarees or dhotis. They are believed to be ideal for new borns, for these are really soft and mushy fabric, perfect for their squishy skin. Earlier, the women of the household would start sewing kanthas right after childbirth, to keep the babies all wrapped and warm. These days, however, this has almost become a lost art.
We are here on an endeavor to bring that lost warmth, that lost love, back for the babies. These are customized kanthas, mildly embroidered. To be used as blankets, wrap-ups, pillow-covers for our new darlings.
