Sharing a Story With You All: This is primarily not a Sale Post â˜ēī¸

This is a handmade piece from my weaver in Kashmir- A Real Pashmina Saree. These are somewhat expensive sarees and I'll tell you the reasons in a few points -

1. Real Kashmiri Pashmina sarees are woven only from the fine hair of the Changthangi goat, found high in the cold regions of Ladakh.

2. The entire weaving is done by hand, including the Tilla thread work. Machine made Pashminas are not as warm as hand made ones.

3. This craftsmanship is gradually dying in Kashmir- children are no longer interested to stay in the same business as their ancestors were, and not even aware of the basics of it.

These are becoming collectible items and will be valued more in days to come!
