A traditional handwoven textile from Bhoodan Pochampally in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana, Pochampally Ikkat is renowned for its distinctive geometric patterns created using the traditional “Paagadu Bandhu” tie-and-dye technique.
Known for the dexterous use of pure zari combined with silk and cotton, Pochampally Ikkat is available in three forms: Silk, Cotton, and Sico.
GI-tagged in 2004–2005, this exquisite textile is a true reflection of India’s rich weaving heritage. Words fall short of describing the grandeur and timeless elegance of this gorgeous saree.
