The Taant cotton saree, a traditional Bengali saree, originates from the state of West Bengal in India.

Dhaniakhali, along with Shantipur and Phulia, are known for traditional Bengali handloom sarees. Suited to the hot and humid climate, the tant saree is amongst the most favoured by Bengali women.
Designed for everyday use, Bengali tant sarees are typically made using cotton fibres and distinguished with the light and airy feel of the garment.
Here is a light weight tant saree combined with soft handloom suited for regular outings in the hot summers.

The most famous saree in Kerala is the Kasavu saree, also known as the Kerala cotton saree, characterized by its off-white or cream-colored fabric with a simple golden border.
