She wakes at 4am.
She runs a household.
She raises three children
who do not sit still.

And in between all of it —
she weaves.

Four days. One saree.
Each one carrying the hours
she carved out of
an already impossible day.

My artisans don’t wait for my brief anymore. Sometimes they just arrive — with a design I didn’t ask for, a motif they imagined, a colour I wouldn’t have thought to try.

And more often than not, that’s the one that becomes a saree.

The market changed. Women wanted something different — lighter, more wearable, more alive. And our artisans felt it before I even had to say it out loud.

AaMe has always been a co-creation. Their hands. Their instinct. My eye. My platform.
