This handwoven Eri Silk fabric has been woven by our fabulous weavers of Assam. Eri Silk is a non-violent silk wherein the Silk Worms are not killed in order to extract the Silk. Also known as Ahimsa Silk, this is a gorgeous wooly silk that gives the wearer a feeling of comfort as well as luxury. 🤍 Perfect to wear in Summer as well as Winter as Eri Silk is known to have thermal properties. This is a wonder fabric indeed!

Eri Silk Masks✨
The woolly white silk is often referred to as the fabric of peace because it is processed without killing the silkworm. This process results in a silk called Ahimsa silk. The texture of the Eri is coarse, fine, and dense. It is very strong, durable, elastic with a very luxurious feel to it. Eri silk is darker and heavier than other silks and blends well with wools and cotton. Fun fact: Due to its thermal properties it is warm in winter and cool in summer!
These Eri Silk fabrics have been carefully woven by the Weavers of Assam, using their excellent hand weaving skills. Our Eri Masks have three layers and are comfortable to wear in the sweltering summers as well. ✨
