Neither was Shobha Bazar Rajbari.

A handwoven cotton Jamdani saree in a vivid red, scattered with floral motifs that feel almost like fragments from an old Bengal garden — reworked for a woman who wears tradition on her own terms.

There is heritage in the weave.

A MUCH BIGGER STORY BEHIND IT.

From an idea of making Bengal’s handloom relevant to a new generation, to seeing that philosophy recognised by Grazia Trendsetters 2026 East — this moment feels special.

The matinée tickets are tucked inside her handbag.
Park Street is already humming.
And she has dressed for a little drama.

**Sunday Matinee** arrives in white, but refuses to play the quiet part.

A sudden sweep of marigold yellow.
Fine black lines like strokes of kohl.
Jamdani details appearing between them like frames from an old film reel.

It carries the nostalgia of a Calcutta Sunday — when an afternoon at the cinema could turn into coffee, conversation, and an evening that nobody had quite planned.

But this is not a saree looking backwards.

The graphic borders are sharper.
The styling is freer.
The mood has moved on.

Because **Park Street Muse** was never about recreating old Calcutta.

It is about imagining what that Calcutta would wear **today**.
