* Wash Test – Yarn is washed 5–10 cycles at 40°C** to check if the color fades or bleeds. A color fastness rating of 4–5 (ISO Gray Scale) indicates excellent performance.
* Rub Test (Crocking) – Fabric is rubbed 10–20 times under controlled pressure to see if color transfers onto other surfaces. A rating of 4–5 out of 5 is considered good.
* Light Test – Exposed to strong artificial light for 20–40 hours to measure fading over time. A light fastness score of 6–8 on the Blue Wool Scale demonstrates high resistance.
* Sweat Test – Fabric is treated with artificial sweat for 4–8 hours at 37°C to check color reaction or staining. Results rated 4–5 out of 5 indicate minimal color change.
* Chemical Test – Evaluates resistance against detergents and cleaning agents through exposure to standard detergent solutions for 30–60 minutes. Color retention above 90–95% is considered excellent.
* Heat Test– Exposed to temperatures of 150°C for 30–60 seconds to reveal whether dye stability breaks down. Less than 5% color variation indicates strong heat resistance.
