A warm salutation to Gurudev Ravindranath Tagore from our Shunya family.
With a clam respect to the great poet Rabindranath Tagore we are celebrating his 165th birthday by a very glamorous art work of us. Gurudev Ravindranath Tagore has gifted his poems, plays, novels, short stories, songs, paintings, etc for us and these are like gems and diamonds that lies in our heart.
He brought Batik to India in 1927 from Java, Indonesia and it was introduced at Santiniketan at first. Here, people started creating Batik using Tuli(brush) and later on it was renamed as Tuli Batik. With the time Batik was spread into the different parts of our country. Now in different corners of our country Batik is created in different unique styles.
Like that, we have been creating and dreaming with Batik since 2004. With our different and unique experiments in continuous 23 years with Batik we have taken it to an extreme level.
In this holy Occasion, we have created an art piece using his wonderful Bengali song "Jokhon Porbena Mor payer Chinho Ei Bate..." and it's a warm tribute to him on his birthday.
Today we have displayed this art piece and it's some steps by a documented video. Hope you will enjoy it.
