The early 60โs and 70โs runway were all about checkerboard prints and it's not hard to see the appeal of it in the first place: when updated or manipulated into a warped or distorted pattern, the result feels eccentric and unique without stripping it away of its familiarity.
The checkered print is by no means a novel pattern โ it's been around since the invention of chess in the 6th century.
Although weโve completely rethought, modernized and adapted the pattern to the current context, the essence remains.
