This is how our Founder, Aditi Sharda decided the name -
"The Closet by Aditi"

While keeping in mind the brand I wanted to build I had a very tough decision to make over its name. Hours of brainstorming and reviewing different options I came to finalise the name as “The Closet”

For me the name means everything inside of one’s closet that you have and would like to have. That’s exactly how I plan my collection, a little bit of everything ! A closet comprises of clothes, accessories, make up, shoes which reflect ones choices and personality. My collection is a reflection of me and my style which I bring out to everyone.

This is the story of our Founder, Aditi Sharda ☺️

“I love clothes! I want to be a designer!” That’s what I had told my family over 10 years ago.. today after all these years of hard work and motivation I have finally gotten the opportunity to pursue my dream and live a designer’s life.
Having your own brand is every designers dream come true and here is mine when I launched my brand “The Closet by Aditi”
For me it has always been about fashion, looking good, the glamour and style.
Over the years I have only come to realise that fashion designing in more than just glamour and fashion shows. It’s about the backstage hustle, hours of running around sourcing for fabrics, fittings and trials etc etc etc which in the end is all worth it. That’s what I wanted to do and that’s what I am today. This is a designer’s life and this is what I am passionate about.

This lockdown helped me to work towards my passion. While the entire world was stuck at home, I decided to work towards my brand and build something that I would nurture and grow like a little child. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my family and loved ones who believed me and support each dream of mine like their own.

Making everyone look good and feel great gives me immense happiness. I will always be invested with all my heart in everything I do.
