Spent this week sharing our first install, ‘Church of Palm’ debuting our art practice .m.m.a.studio in pure style and grace.

We have been chasing palms and sunsets for the larger part of life to translate our deep respect for these profound providers.

Church of Palm - a multi disciplinary installation honouring Kerala’s prize possession, the everyday coconut tree and the spirit of sunset. This work deconstructs elements of worship, taking an intentional moment to pay respect to a universal bond.
The repetition of the palm tree often discounts the value of each and every tree, the shade she provides, the food she offers the beauty she embodies. This space reimagines the plastic chair more than a utilitarian object, the chairs become an accidental protagonist. Arranged in rows encouraging order and calm, they move beyond their function, taking on a sculptural wave like presence as silent witnesses to a sacred space of gratitude. The hand embroidered tapestry provides the sun setting like presence.
