Did you Know? 🌍 Nearly half of world's clothing is made out of Polyester and it is estimated that it takes about 70 barrels of oil just to produce virgin polyester each year.
🌍 Polyester is made out of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) which is the most common type of plastic in the world. 🌍 Polyester is made from highly toxic chemicals and dyes which if emitted can pollute the water and untreated air and cause environmental damage. When worn these chemicals are absorbed by the skin, and when children's skin is far more porus than adults, they are at greater risk. 🌍 Polyester is non-biodegradable and unsustainable which means that it cannot be broken down after you finish wearing it which leads to choking up landfills and waterways.
Say no to polyester and let's switch to biodegradable because there is no planet B.
