long, soft, shiny plant fiber that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. It is produced from plants in the genus Cor-chorus. Jute is second only to cotton, in amount produced and its variety of uses. Jute fiber is composed primarily of the plant materials cellulose and lining. Jute is a rainy season crop that grows best in warm, humid climates. The world's finest Jute is produced in the Bengal Delta Plain, mostly in Bangladesh & India. Some Features of Jute:
