It’s been a busy few weeks for us, and while we’re getting the hang of executing larger orders, the year-end is already around the corner.

Our gratitude goes out to everyone who purchased from us this year; to everyone who supported us, encouraged us, and cheered us on. We owe you more than we can say.

The coming year will be special. There’ll be new products to launch, new avenues to explore and new friends to make.

A D V A N C E M E N T

The past few days have been pretty challenging for us. Our entire day would be spent in getting your orders ready to ship. This is the first time we’ve been busy with multiple orders and we’re grateful for it.
Each day came with new challenges teaching us that no mater how many wallets we’ve made in the past, no matter what our experience, there’s always something new to learn —even in repetitive tasks.
We’re halfway through with these orders and loving how each one is turning out. We’ll be ever grateful to all who have been patient with us due to my unavailability while I was offshore. You guys are amazing.
Your patience and cooperation helps small enterprises like ours with some buffer time which is much needed when dishing out multiple orders. Hope you’re having a productive day just like us.

One of the main reasons I got into leather crafting was because of a tote bag. Years ago, a supervisor of mine offshore showed me one he had made entirely by hand. I instantly fell in love with the craft and knew, deep down, that I’d make one myself someday.

That day is today. The leather is cut, the rivets are in — everything’s nearly in place.

Keep an eye on this space for the final product.

Hand stitching is a skill that has always baffled me. I wouldn’t be able to sew even if I had to save my life—until I got into leather crafting.

My grandmother (maternal) was probably the best seamstress I ever knew. And to watch her sew patchwork blankets (that we called ‘godadi’ in Marathi), clothes, and anything that could be sewed was magical!

Her hand-feet-eye coordination was impeccable. The sewing machine under her operation was like a magic wand in a wizard’s hand. Patches of old, ragged cloth would be sewn into beautiful articles with immense use.

I have sewn many wallets so far, but I still haven’t learned how to not stab myself with the needles. Creating such pieces of art is literally creating with blood and sweat! But it’s all part of the process.

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Right? ;)
