आपण मित्रांना, ओळखीच्या लोकांना किती छान wishes देतो, त्यांचं कौतुक करतो… पण आपल्या अगदी जवळच्या माणसांना मात्र कधी कधी taken for granted करतो.

आज माझ्या या पोस्टमधून माझ्या भाभीचं मनापासून कौतुक करावंसं वाटलं. ❤️

मी South ला आले की आम्ही नेहमी त्यांच्या घरीच राहतो—कधी कधी तर अचानक surprise देऊनही! 😄 पण ती प्रत्येक वेळी तितक्याच प्रेमाने आणि हसतमुखाने आमची काळजी घेते.

माझ्या लग्नापासून, delivery पासून, मुलीच्या लग्नापर्यंत… प्रत्येक प्रसंगी ती माझ्या पाठीशी उभी राहिली.

आणि आज माझे वयोवृद्ध आई-बाबा तिच्यासोबत राहतात. त्यांची ती मुलीपेक्षाही जास्त प्रेमाने आणि जबाबदारीने काळजी घेते. ❤️

स्वतःच्या तब्येतीच्या अडचणी असतानाही तिच्या चेहऱ्यावरचं हसू आणि प्रत्येकासाठी असलेली तत्परता कधी कमी होत नाही.

❤️ ८३ वर्षांची आई… ९३ वर्षांचे बाबा… आणि आजही तेवढेच उत्साही! ❤️

काही क्षण आपण ठरवून जगत नाही…
ते अचानक आयुष्यात येतात आणि मनात कायमचे घर करून जातात! 🥰

आम्ही आई-बाबांना सरप्राईज देण्यासाठी गेलो आणि आम्हाला पाहून त्यांच्या चेहऱ्यावर आलेला आनंद म्हणजे आमच्यासाठी सगळ्यात मोठी भेट! ❤️

माझे ९३ वर्षांचे बाबा… आम्ही अचानक गेलो असतानाही, स्वतःच्या हाताने आम्हाला रागी म्हणजेच नाचणीपासून बनवलेला एक पारंपरिक पदार्थ खाऊ घालायचा त्यांचा आग्रह! 😋 त्यासोबत त्यांनी दिलेला टोमॅटो मसाला… अगदी जुन्या आठवणींची चव! ❤️

आजकाल असे कितीतरी पारंपरिक पदार्थ आपल्या घरातून हळूहळू नाहीसे होत आहेत. पण काही गृहिणी आणि छोट्या घरगुती व्यवसाय करणाऱ्या महिला हे जुने पदार्थ पुन्हा बनवून विकत आहेत… आपली ही पारंपरिक खाद्यसंस्कृती जपण्यासाठी हे खरंच खूप सुंदर काम आहे. 🌿❤️

आणि माझी ८३ वर्षांची आई… ❤️
तिला पाहिलं की तिच्या ऊर्जेचं खरंच कौतुक वाटतं!

🌿 FROM AMMA’S KITCHEN TO SMALL VILLAGES OF TAMIL NADU! ❤️

Today, we’re travelling around Tamil Nadu, visiting small villages and exploring manufacturing units to bring you some beautiful finds for the coming festival season! 🧵✨

And just like every time we visit, our journey begins from our mother’s home. ❤️

Our beloved Amma and sister-in-law take such wonderful care of us. Since we know that finding a proper lunch in the small villages we visit can be difficult, my sister-in-law lovingly prepares a complete homemade meal for us — rice, sambar, rasam, bhaji, fruits and snacks. 🍚🥘🍌

And mama packs everything so neatly for us to carry! ❤️
Honestly, this homemade lunch is not just food — it is pure love packed for our journey. 🥰

Then comes the real village adventure! 🚗
In many of these villages, our vehicle cannot reach the manufacturing unit or godown. So we park somewhere along the road and walk further inside to meet the manufacturers and explore their collections.

It may take extra effort, but this is what goes behind bringing you carefully selected products at Southern Attire. ❤️

And yes… we have chosen some really beautiful items for the upcoming festival season! ✨

Every time I visit Chennai, there’s one thing I simply cannot forget — taking a video from Chennai Central! ❤️🚉

Thousands of people pass through this station every single day, and yet every time I stand here, I’m amazed by the energy, the crowd and the endless movement. Somehow, this place always brings back so many memories for me. 🥰

And of course… filter coffee! ☕❤️

Being a South Indian, our love for coffee has no season and no timing! 😂
Hot weather? Coffee.
Cold weather? Coffee.
Rainy weather? Definitely coffee!
Any time, any day — give us a good filter coffee! 😍☕

This time, our Chennai trip was extra special because we came to meet our beloved son who is studying here. ❤️ We also spent some lovely time at our sister-in-law’s place, making it a short but memorable family trip.

And yes, once again, I had to capture my favourite Chennai Central moment on camera! 🎥❤️

🌿 FROM PUNE TO ANDHRA PRADESH — TO SHOW YOU THE REAL STORY BEHIND KALAMKARI! ❤️

We travelled all the way to Andhra Pradesh to see and capture how authentic Kalamkari is made — hand block printing, screen printing, colour fixing, boiling, hand-painted Pen Kalamkari and even hand-dyed Chennuri silk saree borders. 🎨🧵

We saw artisans working patiently, stage by stage, even in the scorching heat. We also visited the ironing department where huge rolls of fabric are finished.

Seeing this entire process made us realise even more how much time, skill, patience and hard work goes into every piece. ❤️

So those tiny black patches, slight colour variations or little imperfections in Kalamkari? They are part of the handmade story. 🙏

We captured all this specially for our Kalamkari lovers, so you can see what happens behind the fabric you wear.

This was not just a business trip — it was a journey to understand and respect the beautiful craftsmanship behind Kalamkari. ❤️

From Pune to Andhra Pradesh — this journey was not just about buying fabrics. It was about meeting manufacturers, exploring the market, and understanding the craft more closely.

We’ve visited our manufacturers here a couple of times before, but unfortunately, I couldn’t shoot videos during those visits.

So this time, I decided — I HAVE TO SHOW YOU! 😍

How are the beautiful Kalamkari block prints actually made?
How are the blocks used?
How does the printing happen?
What are the different techniques involved in creating these beautiful fabrics?

Today was all about travelling, meeting manufacturers and exploring… in absolutely scorching Andhra heat! 🥵☀️

But the heat and exhaustion are worth it when you know you’re bringing back something special for your customers. ❤️

And tomorrow… the real behind-the-scenes begins! 👀

I’ll take you inside the manufacturing unit and show you the actual Kalamkari printing and manufacturing techniques — something you may not usually get to see.

Vacation for me means changing the location…
not switching off Southern Attire! 😂❤️

From the escalator to the railway platform,
and even sitting in the train… 🚆📱

There’s always a client call, a message, an order, a query or something related to Southern Attire! 😄

My family may be travelling with me,
but my business comes along too! ❤️

Because this is not just work for me…
it’s something I truly love doing. 🥰

And honestly, after so many years, I think my phone knows my business schedule better than my vacation schedule! 😂📱
