Gandhian Fab by Amin Farista Amin Farista, a Gen-Next Designer from Central India, passionately designs on khadi and handwoven His designs have been appreciated by the T.V.

He has heard the unheard melodies of khadi and sings the poetry of khadi in his designs…. Amin Farista has adopted a unique way of utilizing his hobby, of fashion designing, in serving his motherland, India. He has been designing his garments solely on hand-woven fabrics, natural fibers and Khadi of various states of India since 2003. Amin’s Couture is an attempt to innovate, recreate and embrace

modernity, keeping in mind India’s rich cultural heritage. His unique style of using antique handwork on Khadi has been appreciated and acknowledged by fashion loving people. His forte is traditional and ethnic kurtis- both trendy and wearable by all age groups. Amin started his career with a fashion show held by the KVIC in Raipur on 26th Aug, 2005, followed by an exhibition of his products in Town Hall, Raipur. He has done exhibitions in Raipur, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Rajkot, Amritsar, Chennai. personalities like Ashwini Kelkar and Kaamya Punjabi. He promotes those weavers and handicraft workers who are fast moving away from their ancestral skill due to lack of appreciation. He has also formed a Designer’s Council of Chhattisgarh and this council organizes one or the other event every year in various towns of Chhattisgarh.
