This is the Marvelous Spatuletail- an endangered little hummingbird. When we came across its vivid blue crown, iridescent neck and that dramatic tail, we knew we had to recreate it.
Our artisans chose mixed media: layering delicate threads, iridescent beads, feathers and sequins. And cut it as an appliqué- ready to be perched onto a bag, a garment or a wall cover.
