Mural Painting

Mural art is the art of painting on walls. Kerala mural art is a beautiful art wherein artistes explore their painting talent on the walls of temples and palaces. Pictures of mythological characters, Gods, animals and birds which are part of the Kerala culture like swans, deer, peacocks and so on are depicted. The beauty of this art, its colors, and themes makes it so popular that many innovative artistes started using this in various other medium like fabric and canvas.

I have also been deeply attracted to this form of painting. I have tried to incorporate these paintings in my own way and also make fusion designs with tribal arts into saris and dupattas, keeping in mind the essence of the tradional Kerala mural paintings. Hope you like them!!
