Tsodag Karpo Chagzhipa
Four-Armed White Ganapati

A rare Himalayan Buddhist thangka depicting the white, four-armed form of Ganapati, executed in mineral pigments with genuine gold detailing.

The painted image measures 64 × 52 cm, while the complete thangka measures approximately 140 × 92 cm.

The work entered our family collection approximately 35 to 40 years ago, acquired in Delhi from a Tibetan refugee and represented at the time as an old thangka. The present textile mounting was added approximately 25 years ago.

The painting displays finely worked gold ornament, intricate garment patterns, a richly developed Himalayan landscape, sacred motifs, and highly detailed textile borders.

We have deliberately kept the exact date open pending specialist examination. For us, responsible collecting begins with accurate documentation.

TRIBAL BRONZE SHIVA SHRINE

A remarkably compact Central Indian tribal bronze, dating to the early 1900s.
This miniature devotional assemblage brings together a Shiva lingam, Nandi and a raised Naga form on a finely cast rectangular platform. Object demonstrates the distinctive economy of tribal metalwork, where an entire sacred composition is expressed within an exceptionally small scale.
The bronze retains its original character through age, handling, oxidation and naturally developed patina. Its irregular surfaces and abbreviated modelling are part of its historical character and are preserved as found.
