The one (Sri Radha) who wears a simple bluish cloth!
We joyfully present to you our newest collection, Nilambara dhara, inspired by the various descriptions in the scriptures of Srimati Radharani being dressed up by Her maidservants for her coronation ceremony in Vrindavan to crown her the queen of Vrindavan!
A part of the description says that after the gopi Sanjana finished braiding and decorating Sri Radha's long hair, Jiva Goswami describes, 'it resembled a black vine escorted with tiny flowers!', which is why you'll find lots of prints in this collection comprising of vines, leaves, bushes and tiny flowers, this is also why the collection includes so much of black!
Jiva Goswami also writes that Sri Radha then accepted a very beautiful, opulent, delicate sash for her waist and He mentions that it was scented with perfumes like sandalwood and musk, etc. And as a result, He writes, "like Her complexion, the sash gave off a soft reddish glow that actually revealed her heart's feelings and radiated Her love for Krishna!" why is why you'll see an extensive use of red throughout the collection!
And in conclusion, why we've named this collection 'Nilambara dhara' is because Sri Jiva Goswami writes in Yugalastaka, verse 7, "Nilambara dhara Radha", which means that Sri Radha wears a simple bluish cloth. This is also why you'll find blue in each and every dress of this collection! We hope for you all to carry Sri Radha in your outfit as well as heart with this collection!
