What a treat! Of all the yarn festivals I have been to this was my favourite! So much to do and see, interesting lectures, workshops and shows, plus all the gorgeous yarn 🤩

I love the knitting community, I never show my face, but people recognised the things I was wearing and I got many unexpected compliments on my designs. Thank you all ❤️❤️ Takk elsku allar❤️❤️
I met new people, laughed a lot and came home tired to the bone but with a huge smile on my face.
We truly had a wonderful time at the 🥳❤️

🎉🎊PUBLISHING DAY 🎊🥳

The pattern for the Growing Still sweater has been published in English 🇬🇧

Uppskriftin af Growing Still peysunni er komin út á íslensku 🇮🇸

(You can find a link to Ravelry in bio.)

The sizes vary from 93cm/36.6” to 165cm/65” in circumference of the bust on the garment. (I recommend at least 7 cm positive ease)
The pattern has been test knitted in all sizes thank to the amazing group of knitters that volunteered and helped me creating a pattern that I feel confident in sharing with you now ❤️

You need DK weight yarn and 4mm/ Us6 needles.

I am a lover of mohair as you might know 😅So both of the samples on the photos are knitted with two strands held together.

The red sweater is size 3 knitted with hand dyed fi*****ng yarn and mohair silk, both from

The beige sweater is size 5, knitted with My fine wool from Gepardgarn held with Mohair silk from Isager kindly gifted by

If you choose to knit the sweater I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I did❤️

If you would like to support the design in another way, I would be very grateful for every share, like or comment ❤️

This is the 🤍☀️
(or tee, depending on the sleeves)
Thank you for helping me choosing a name 🙌
My daughter is modelling the sweater for me, and I think it looks even better oversized on her as it does in the right size on me 🤩

I had planned to start the test knit for this design in May, but decided to postpone. I am truly sorry if someone was waiting🤍

Making knitting patterns is just a hobby and managing two test knits at a time is more than I can handle. 🙂‍↕️
The (last photo) Will be published on the third of June🥳 and the next week after that I will be calling for testers for this pattern 🤍

I used Bomulin for the white sweater and Trio 1 for the black tee, both from . (Silk from Kitting for Olive would also be perfect).
If you are interested in testing, please let me know in the comments and I promise I will let you know the moment the test call goes live 🤍🤍

Sizes available: 10 sizes from 84-164 cm Yarn bought

It finally feels like spring has arrived in Iceland, at least in my garden🌷
With temperature just above 10 •C I can Finally sit outside and knit in the sunshine ☀️👏

I am working on something new using the same cables as in the But this will be something different 🙌
The yarn is gorgeous, I am using Hör silke and Cashmere lace from available here in Reykjavik. 🤍
Do you know the feeling when yarn is too beautiful to use? I had this project in mind when I got the yarn, but I still made swatches with all kinds of lace pattern because I thought it would suit the yarn better😅 But I am finally convinced that this will be a perfect match of yarn and design 👌 I look forward to showing you what I have in mind when I get a bit further along 🤍

How do you like the long sleeved version of the tee? I honestly just couldn’t stop knitting, this texture is so addictive and I had extra yarn, so I thought, why not. 😍
You only need 3-5 balls of Trio 1 or Bomulin by for the top (Available at here in Reykjavik)

The pattern is already written and graded in 10 sizes, but there is still some work to do. I need to translate it and have it tech edited but test call is coming soon. 🤍🤍

I had so many ideas regarding the name for this design. Passing light is my favourite now. The texture is very light, and it passes the light through, (plus time passes lightly as you knit🤍)

Here are some of the other names, which one is your favourite ?

Wearing the designed by for the first time today 🥳 And I really needed a good scarf, don’t let the sunshine fool you, it is 4 degrees in Reykjavík and I was freezing 😂🥶

I took part in a knit along held by , everyone is knitting a shawl by Stephen West.
I made the scarf a bit narrower and longer than in the pattern and I am super happy with how it turned out. 🤩

It’s knitted on 4mm needles using only leftover yarn🙌

There will be a clear colour theme on my needles for the next few weeks😍
Bright red, beige and white 🤍❤️ Not my usual earthy browns but my mood swings with the seasons and I long for something bright and light.

I have had the in my queue forever and now I am finally starting. The other two projects are just in my head… like so many more 😅

Do your colour choices also change with the seasons, or is it just me?

I love knitting from this colour 😍 It feels like eating something delicious with my eyes 😂
This is my own design, you might say there is enough of beautiful cable sweater pattern to choose from, but I couldn’t find one like this, with a high collar and a round yoke with growing cables. So I made my own. I am still not sure if I will write the pattern or just enjoy it for myself, but I am super happy how the hidden increases turned out 😍

This delicious colour is hand dyed by I have had it in my stash for more than a year so I am not sure she still has it, but the colour name is ivaf if you’re interested.
