It all started with a single idea in 2008 when the founder was looking for a present for her unborn nephew. The dad (founder's brother) teaches Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Iceland, so she was looking for a baby martial arts uniform („gi“). The search was unsuccessful so she decided to design just one, but soon decided to make this cute little outfit available for more people. At the time the founder wo

rked in the licensing world, and so had the knowledge and resources that enabled her to get started. The first order of Baby gi's was ready just in time for the boy's 1st birthday:)
