Nerds Knitting We are a nerd couple in Iceland, hacking code by day, knitting by night. We knit all kinds of clothes and items and sell them at reasonable prices.

A portion of the proceeds is donated to "Cause an Uproar". All prices given in Canadian dollars or ISK. Nerds Knitting is Margaret Unger and Gunnar Valur Gunnarsson and is located in Reykjavík, Iceland. We are computer scientists who also happen to love knitting. A lot of what we knit is made from Icelandic wool, which is known for its warmth, durability, and water resistancy. As Icelandic wool is

quite coarse, it is best suited for outerwear, such as the famous lopapeysa, a chunky sweater worn as an outer layer. We also knit out of softer wool or pretty much any yarn we can get our hands on. We are not aiming to make lots of money from our knitting, since we do it mostly for pleasure, so you will find that the items we sell are very affordable. However, since we both have full-time jobs besides commitments in our spare time, we cannot promise that the item you choose will be ready very quickly. We also donate a portion of our earnings from Nerds Knitting to "Cause an Uproar" (https://www.facebook.com/causeanuproar), a National Geographic initiative aimed at saving the big cats of the world, or other nature-associated organizations or organizations we consider worthy causes. Our photo albums show items we have made, but we do not exclusively knit only these things. We enjoy knitting new things, so if you want something specific, or even have only a general idea of what you want, please ask and we will talk with you and come up an idea for the final result. Please note, though, that end results will not be identical to what you see on the picture, due to the nature of handmade knitting goods, available yarns, etc. See our notes for more information. Turns out, you can do quite a lot with some yarn and plenty of imagination! If you like crocheting or cats (or both!), this might be just the list for you!
