Thank you for telling about us, our history and our "on-demand slow-way to produce". Bringing our 200 y. old handloom ist not only for business, but much more to make textile-culture & create positive synergies! The most beautiful thing is to have the opportunity to show to students and young designers the history behind the fabrics they'll use, the opportunity that a handloom can give (the only limit is our fantasy), and hearing the comments of local visitors....." s'avevano anche noi al Buzzi!!" For three days, our 19th-century hand looms spoke an international language.

We had the privilege of welcoming students and faculty from the Fashion Program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, sharing techniques, materials, processes, and stories that have been part of our identity for more than a century.

In an era driven by speed and industrial production, seeing young designers engage with the slower rhythm of hand weaving was especially meaningful.

Through yarns, samples, experiments, and conversations, the workshop became a genuine exchange of knowledge: on one side, Italian textile heritage; on the other, a new generation of creatives imagining the future of fashion.

Thank you for your curiosity, enthusiasm, and respect throughout this experience.

Craftsmanship is not preserved by placing it in a museum.
It remains alive when it is shared!

Tradition is not preserving the ashes. It is passing on the fire.

Siamo orgogliosi di vedere il nostro telaio scelto da Pitti Immagine come immagine rappresentativa per raccontare il tema di Spazio Ricerca Autunno/Inverno 2027–2028: Discipline.
In un momento storico in cui disciplina significa tensione tra ordine e libertà, tra memoria e innovazione, il nostro lavoro artigianale diventa parte di una narrazione più ampia, capace di unire tradizione tessile, ricerca contemporanea e visione culturale.
Il telaio, simbolo di rigore, pazienza e costruzione, rappresenta perfettamente questo dialogo: ogni intreccio nasce da gesti precisi, da conoscenza, da tempo, trasformando la materia in linguaggio.
Essere presenti attraverso questa immagine nel racconto di Pitti Filati è per noi un riconoscimento importante del valore della sperimentazione tessile e del saper fare artigianale come strumenti contemporanei di ricerca.

We are proud to see our loom chosen by Pitti Immagine as the representative image for Spazio Ricerca Autumn/Winter 2027–2028 and its central theme: Discipline.
At a historical moment in which discipline embodies the tension between order and freedom, between memory and innovation, our artisanal work becomes part of a broader narrative—one that connects textile tradition, contemporary research, and cultural vision.
The loom, a symbol of rigor, patience, and construction, perfectly represents this dialogue: every weave is born from precise gestures, knowledge, and time, transforming material into language.
To be present through this image within Pitti Filati’s narrative is an important recognition of the value of textile experimentation and artisanal craftsmanship as contemporary tools of research.
