Moaconcept We are often asked the question, "Why did you choose to become a Benefit Society?" The answer is simple: we love making sneakers and want to continue doing so.

Moaconcept, the 1st Italian sneaker Benefit Company, has its roots in the culture of inclusion and dialogue, convinced that the real power of change lies in small daily gestures and in the role that each of us has in the construction of a better society At the same time, we are aware that the footwear industry is one of the most energy-intensive and polluting segments of fashion. SOME FACTS ABOUT THE FOOTWEAR INDUSTRY

According to recent studies, the industry contributes substantially to global CO2 emissions, with an estimated 700 million tons of carbon dioxide per year, nearly 1.4 percent of total global emissions. This impact comes not only from the production itself, but also from the life cycle of products, including transportation, use, and disposal. OUR CHOICE AS A SNEAKER FASHION COMPANY

We decided to equip ourselves with tools that allow us to continue doing what we love - creating and producing our beloved sneakers - responsibly, with respect for other living things and the planet. WHAT ARE WE ACTUALLY DOING? In response to the data emerging from the studies:
- we became a Benefit Corporation in 2022, committing to return part of our profit to society in projects related to sustainability, social and environmental;
- we are adopting ESG strategies to reduce our carbon footprint;
- we have been using recycled and biodegradable materials within our collections for several seasons now;
- we brought back to Italy about 70% of the production of our collections, feeding the valuable Made in Italy supply chain.
- we started MyOwnAction, our project to collect used sneakers, in order to recycle their soles, recovering the rubber by relying on partners specialized in recycling such as esosport
