There is something deeply fascinating about objects made with seashells.
Small boxes, picture frames, miniature furniture, little hearts and souvenirs — humble objects assembled from the fragments of a journey, a summer, a place by the sea.
Perhaps their real purpose was never simply to decorate.
We collect things because we want to hold on to something that cannot be held: a place we visited, a person we loved, a moment we don't want to forget.
A handful of shells becomes a frame for a photograph.
A tiny heart becomes a souvenir.
A little box becomes the keeper of something precious.
And somewhere along the way, the object becomes the memory itself.
I have always been fascinated by these small, imperfect pieces of material culture — objects that tell us not only what people made, but what they chose to remember.

A little piece of wearable textile art from the 1920s
A small fragment of fashion history from the 1920s.
A black raffia vest, entirely hand-embroidered, its dark ground transformed into a canvas for a vivid composition of flowers and leaves.
The embroidery follows the shape of the garment, combining different stitches and coloured threads to create an almost three-dimensional surface. Bold flowers, delicate leaves and small details emerge from the natural texture of the raffia.
It is precisely this contrast — the raw, natural quality of raffia against the richness of the embroidery — that makes this little garment so remarkable.
A beautiful example of a time when fashion could still exist somewhere between dress, craftsmanship and textile art. ★★★

Like these tiny shoes from the past.....
Tiny embroidered slippers, a pair of scarlet shoes... They make you wonder where they walked, who wore them, and what stories they carried.....
Collecting vintage is also collecting these questions. Sometimes the most beautiful part is not knowing the answers..... ★★★

Before it became a collar,
it was a drawing.
Before it became lace,
it was patience.
Handmade in Punto Rinascimento in the early 1900s, every open space and every embroidered line follows the slow rhythm of skilled hands. More than a century later, that rhythm is still visible.
Some details never stop teaching us how beautiful time can be...... ★★★

July was a reminder to slow down, to look more carefully, and to find inspiration in the simplest things.
