Created in 2020, After Everything is a sculptural neckpiece in sterling silver and opal beads that marks the culmination of a deeply personal journey.

The piece reflects on the questions that many adopted children quietly carry with them: Where do I come from? Who might I have been? Rather than searching for answers in the past, Jo Sabavala turns the focus towards identity as something shaped by the person we ultimately become.

A fully open flower, worn across the chest, becomes a powerful symbol of arrival. No longer searching, no longer defined by origins, it represents a moment of acceptance and self-recognition.

After Everything suggests that identity does not have to be found in what came before. Its essence lies in everything experienced, created and transformed along the way — and in the person standing at the end of that journey.

What happens when creation begins with instinct rather than a sketch?

For Hans Casanova, the creative process starts with an experience — a moment capable of triggering an image, a sensation or a memory. Sounds, textures, movements, people, everyday objects and atmospheres are absorbed and stored, later resurfacing as inner images ready to take form.

In the studio, there are no preliminary drawings. Hans works directly with his hands, carving, cutting, forging and transforming the material. Nothing is predetermined: each form gradually reveals itself, suggesting naturally what should come next.

Balcones Floridos: Milan, 13th Century was born from a walk through Milan. Windows, flowers, voices, walls and traces of another time intertwined in his memory, becoming the starting point for a miniature wearable landscape.

Piece by piece, architectural structures emerge. Tiny floral elements take shape. Individual components are assembled until fragments of the city are transformed into jewellery.

It is a process guided by a constant dialogue between instinct and technique, memory and matter — where the hands become the bridge between imagination and form.

What happens when different cultures, memories and landscapes come together through jewellery?

Yuwana began with two sisters, long before it became a brand. Growing up in Botswana, surrounded by wide-open landscapes, rich colours and a culture rooted in warmth, creativity and connection, they developed a shared sensitivity that continues to shape their work today.

With African roots and Chinese heritage, the sisters have always lived between cultures. Yuwana reflects this unique perspective, bringing together contemporary design and African aesthetics in jewellery that feels personal, expressive and deeply connected to their identity.

Creating by hand has always been part of their lives. Making, experimenting and allowing stories to take shape naturally through design eventually led them to jewellery — a way to express culture, art and memories through pieces made to be worn and lived with.

But Yuwana is not only about their own story. Each creation is designed to become part of someone else’s: accompanying everyday moments, important milestones and everything in between.

✨ ONE PIECE. ONE STORY. | LINA BARTOLETTI – POSEIDON

Can a jewel capture both the power and the vulnerability of a myth?

In ancient Greek mythology, the divine often reveals itself through duality. Poseidon, ruler of the oceans, could unleash earthquakes and violent storms with his trident, embodying both the majesty and unpredictability of the sea.

In this brooch, which can also be worn as a pendant, Lina Bartoletti transforms that dual nature into jewellery. Poseidon emerges with his hair challenging the wind, while blue and light-blue sapphires evoke the sea in its contrasting states — from absolute calm to raging tempest.

Yet even a god of immense power could face defeat. In 477 BC, according to the narrative behind the piece, the Athenians dedicated the temple to Parthenope rather than to him.

The story of the myth is therefore captured within the jewel itself: the eternal duality between power and defeat, strength and vulnerability.

For Lina Bartoletti, whose creative path combines a passion for jewellery, gemmological studies and lost-wax techniques, mythology becomes a language through which ancient symbolism can take on a new, wearable form.

Rooted in sacred geometry and timeless myths, Divinum’s creative language connects ancient symbols with the present moment. Traces of the human gesture remain visible, making each creation unique and deeply personal.

Created in 2025, Horizon Trace distils Michaela Arl de Lima’s vision of High Jewellery into a dialogue between nature, material and craftsmanship.

At the heart of the ring lies an exceptional bi-coloured tourmaline crystal, framed in sculptural 14kt rose gold. Rather than imposing a predetermined form, the designer allowed the stone itself to guide the composition, following its singular contours, shifting hues and natural inclusions.

Formed over geological time, the tourmaline carries within it a story that can never be replicated. Every inclusion and irregularity becomes a mark of provenance, celebrating rarity not through perfection, but through individuality.

The rose gold does not seek to alter the crystal. Instead, it frames, reveals and elevates its inherent beauty, creating a poetic encounter between the raw and the exquisitely crafted.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Jewellery Design and Gemological Sciences, Zahra transforms the lines, proportions and symbolism of these structures into contemporary wearable art.

Through Lumea, she explores the dialogue between cultural heritage and modern design, translating architectural inspiration into jewellery through innovative craftsmanship and a refined contemporary aesthetic.

Her creations preserve a connection with the past while giving traditional forms a new language — one designed to be worn, experienced and carried into the present.

Can a jewel move beyond the body and become part of the way we dress, move and express ourselves?

For Stella Perini, founder of Opificio Stella, every creation begins with a drawing: a first gesture on paper that gradually takes shape through the hands of the artisan.

Cinta di Libertà is born from this process. Inspired by the expressive richness and ornamental movement of the Baroque, its initial sketch is translated into a sequence of sinuous, individually worked metal elements. Curves follow one another in an irregular rhythm, while suspended pearls introduce movement, light and a deliberately organic character.

The creative process is entirely connected to craftsmanship: from the first lines of the drawing to shaping each element by hand, until the different components come together and the original idea becomes a wearable object.

But Cinta di Libertà is designed to escape a single definition. It can be worn over a dress, following and transforming its silhouette, or directly on the body, where the jewel itself becomes the garment.

For María Jesús Sánchez, founder of MaiaM, the ocean is more than a source of inspiration: it is a timeless sculptural force that runs through her entire creative universe.

Created in 2025, the Coral Reef Bracelet draws inspiration from the silent rhythm of the seabed. Its organic undulations recall coral branches gently swayed by ocean currents, transforming the natural rigidity of sterling silver into a structure that appears fluid, dynamic and constantly in motion.

Conceived as a living jewel, the bracelet interacts freely with the body and its surroundings. Light travels across its curves like reflections on the surface of water, while the silver gradually develops its own nuances and shadows over time.
