The Lanvin window displays from the late 2000s and early 2010s are legendary for a reason. Curated under the genius of creative director Alber Elbaz, the storefronts especially the iconic Paris flagship on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

Elbaz brilliantly contrasted delicate, pristine haute couture with chaotic environments. A mannequin in a silk tulle gown would be paired with a cheap industrial floor fan blowing her skirt wildly out of control.

Schiaparelli SS27 Evening Jackets that Daniel Roseberr

The star piece is a gorgeous black velvet blazer covered in embroidered garden vegetables like carrots and radishes, pulled straight from the archives. Featuring rich tones like kingfisher blue and subtle ruffles inspired by their Paris salon curtains.

It is a brilliant nod to Elsa Schiaparelli’s original philosophy of creating statement jackets meant to turn heads from the waist up, but reimagined for a modern, elegant wardrobe.

How do you wear a lot of fabric but still have the sexiest runway of the season? Ask Maximilian Davis.

For Ferragamo SS27, Davis revisits the structure of 1940s workwear, from cinched tailoring and military pockets to sculptural outerwear, then subverts its restraint with translucent rubber, glossy leather and fluid, body-skimming drapery.

Inspired by Lee Miller, Man Ray and the surrealist possibilities of photography, the collection plays with the tension between concealment and exposure. Double belts define the waist, sheer layers reveal the architecture beneath, and sweeping lengths of fabric turn coverage into something decidedly sensual.

It’s a masterclass in making restraint feel provocative.

Mugler’s looks this season were gorgeous but the real triumph is how they handled the archive.

Translating the high-theatrics of Manfred Thierry Mugler’s legendary 1997 ‘Les Insectes’ haute couture into a modern ready-to-wear collection is an incredibly difficult tightrope to walk. It is so easy to fall into cheap, literal costume design.

Instead, creative director Miguel Castro Freitas abstracted those iconic historical shapes into a commercial, tactile wardrobe for “Naturalia X.”

Freitas proved that you can honor a couture blueprint while creating wearable, hyper-desirable luxury for today.

For Ann Demeulemeester’s Spring/Summer show, creative director Stefano Gallici built the entire collection around the California desert scene and stoner rock. To bring that vision to life, he cast the man who helped invent the genre.

The Queens of the Stone Age frontman took to the Paris runway in a pinstripe suit, a polka-dot neck scarf, and a surprise choice of footwear: black flip-flops.

Enfants Riches Déprimés SS27 takes a darker turn, pairing prim tailoring with unsettling imagery and strange, almost talismanic objects.

Baby dolls, tooth-like charms and dishevelled styling add to the collection’s uneasy atmosphere, while its underlying narrative draws on bourgeois dysfunction and the disruption of upper-class respectability.

A study in dark romance, domestic unease and the things lurking beneath a polished exterior.

Massimo Dutti celebrates a new chapter in Rome with the opening of its new store and the unveiling of its Limited Edition Fall/Winter 2026 collection.

Archived Runway was invited to experience both occasions, including an exclusive runway show presenting 40 womenswear and 20 menswear looks.

Defined by strong silhouettes, refined tailoring and exceptional materials, the collection reimagines the brand’s signature codes through a contemporary lens. Elongated proportions, fluid layering and rich textures bring a new sense of confidence and modernity to the Massimo Dutti wardrobe.

An evening celebrating fashion, craftsmanship and the brand’s evolving presence in the Eternal City.

Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel SS27 bags are a little bit of everything. Tiger prints, bright colour-blocking, textured tweeds and oversized CCs sit alongside the classic quilted styles.

There’s something quite fun about how Blazy is approaching the house’s archives, keeping the familiar Chanel signatures but making room for pieces that feel a little less precious and a lot more playful.
