From outer Space is a transdisciplinary design and research practice led by Anna Paola Buonanno and Piergiorgio
Italiano, exploring the spatial implications of economic, social and environmental issues. From outer Space makes
interiors, installations, objects and interfaces, within the physical and digital environments, handling languages
and tools borrowed from architecture, design and visual art
s. The research on the possibilities of displaying is
at the center of the theoretical and professional activities of the studio, which has recently curated set-ups for
Salone del Mobile.Milano, Dropcity and Marséll Paradise. From outer Space has been awarded the first prize for the ReCall project at the Embassy of the Nordic Countries
(Berlin 2014), among other awards and mentions received, and exhibited works at WUHO gallery (Los Angeles),
Felleshus (Berlin), M4gastatelier (Amsterdam), Falstadsenteret (Ekne, Norway), Camp Design Gallery, DOCVA
/ Viafarini, Peep-Hole, Subalterno1, Supersalone (Milano), Fahrenheit39 (Ravenna). The studio collaborated
with brands and cultural institutions including bulthaup Italia, Icon Panorama, IFI Spa, Leroy Merlin, Luceplan,
Mondadori, Mousse Publishing, Politecnico di Milano, Siemens Home Appliances.
