Carding is the process where wool fibres are opened, separated and aligned before spinning.

Through a series of wire-covered rollers, the fibres are prepared into a soft web, which is then divided, stretched and twisted to create carded yarn.

A fundamental step that gives the yarn its structure and prepares it for weaving or knitting.
