Il programma IAIM (AIMI) si concentra sulla connessione e sulla comunicazione. Ricerche come lo studio della dottoressa Angela Underdown, con l'Università di Warwick, Regno Unito, mostra che ogni elemento delle nostre classi IAIM è cruciale per vedere i risultati.
"Il modello logico o i meccanismi di cambiamento alla base dei programmi di intervento sono stati identificati come chiave per la loro efficacia (Mayeske & Lambur, 2001). I meccanismi sono stati identificati come potenzialmente importanti in termini di efficacia dei programmi di massaggio infantile (Underdown & Barlow, 2011), come l'uso di inviti personali, la consegna da parte dello stesso facilitatore, l'impostazione che soddisfa le esigenze fisiche delle diadi madre-bambino, il facilitatore che ha le qualità e le competenze necessarie e l'insegnamento ha comportato l'apprendimento degli stati e gli spunti infantili. Il sostegno di altre madri e l'opportunità di discutere i problemi con i coetanei e il facilitatore erano importanti per i partecipanti al programma, molti dei quali erano socialmente isolati"

The IAIM program focuses on connection and communication. Research such as Dr Angela Underdown's study, with the University of Warwick, UK, shows that every element of our IAIM classes is crucial in order to see results.
"The logic model or mechanisms for change underpinning intervention programs have been identified as key to their effectiveness (Mayeske & Lambur, 2001). Mechanisms were identified as potentially being important in terms of the effectiveness of infant massage programs (Underdown & Barlow, 2011), such as the use of personal invitations, delivery by the same facilitator , the setting meeting the physical needs of the mother–infant dyads, the facilitator having the necessary qualities and skills, and the teaching involved learning about infant states and cues. Support from other mothers and having an opportunity to discuss issues with peers and the facilitator were important to program participants , many of whom were socially isolated"
